Accountable Care Organization (ACO)

An ACO is a group of physicians, hospitals and other providers who voluntarily join together to assume responsibility for the quality and total cost of care for their patients. Participating in an ACO means you are also participating in the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP).
